Jean,

Trying to put into words the impact the Ref.ll, arm, and cartridge I purchased from you is a difficult and daunting (and maybe for me impossible) task. I have read many of the testimonials and reviews and don’t believe there is much that hasn’t been written that I could add. Also much of what I have read somehow becomes more analytical and less emotional. I have realized in my short experience with your “Genius” I have totally forgotten trying to understand and analyze what makes this experience so wonderful. Instead I’ve come to conclusion that what I’m dealing with here is very simple. EMOTION. I’m not talking about the simple day to day experiences that raise and lower our emotional levels to varying degrees. I’m talking about the gut wrenching, touch your inner soul kind of emotions. The kind that bring tears after listening to recordings that I never realized had so much power. I know this may seem, as I’m sure many will think, way to dramatic from someone who might be labeled one of those audio “nuts” “Natzies” “extremists” “idiots” etc. etc. BUT! I have had some experience with live music and the emotion it stirs. Over the years I’ve had the pleasure of visiting many of the great concert halls here in the US and some in Europe, Japan, France as well as over 100 performances of Ballet, with live music, in venues worldwide. Believe me I’m saying this not to impress but just giving a bit of credibility to knowing what sounds good (to me) in comparing what I hear from your table.

So now that I have established that “Your Table” has become an emotional experience of special magnitude I will try from my perspective to explain what all this means.

Very few events in my life have moved me to what I would consider “Mountain Top Experiences”. I have shared many of these with experiences with others but only as individual occurrences and have never actually listed them as a collective whole. It’s been a wonderful and enlightening exercise and I share this with you because you precipitated, through your table, a reflection of my MTE’s. Again the list is very personal and in no way suggests the Ref.ll table be in the same category as the birth of our children HOWEVER it does make the list of events that have changed my life. These are not in any particular order of importance, however at the risk of the entire world questioning my priorities and my family committing me, I do put them (family) certainly at the top :-)).

Oldest son (Brian 36) graduating from college

Youngest son (David 34) opening the Bolshoi Ballet Theater in Moscow after 7 years of renovation and dancing Prince D’esire’ in Sleeping Beauty

Watching David dance Swan Lake at La Scala in Milan. The dancing for sure, but without question the best acoustical venue I have ever been in. The music and sound was from another universe. Gut wrenching. Tears.
